By installing this item you will actually be securing the crankshaft with the addition of another bearing. This bearing secures the shaft at its outermost point on the (left) most stressful side, preventing possible catastrophic crankshaft bearing failure. This unit bolts directly to the engine case and the inner primary. All is locked securely by its unique design. The mating surface is machined to fit perfectly to the inner primary. This design eliminates any flex or deflection of the support itself. The dual hardened steel dowel pins make this piece extremely durable. Along with its grade #8 bolts and GP's superior engineering abilities have taken this unit beyond its required strength. It's an engine builder's dream that offers bottom end longevity for stock to fully modified applications.
